Emily is a recent graduate of the College of William & Mary with a B.S. in Psychology and Kinesiology & Health Sciences. From an early age she has been interested in health and wellness with a goal to enter a professional career somewhere in the field of healthcare.
Knowing she is passionate about the health and wellness of others, Emily took on an interdisciplinary healthcare internship at a retirement community in Richmond, Virginia. The experience culminated in an in-depth research experience regarding the effect of the Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay (MIND) on the progression of neurodegenerative diseases. It was through this project that she solidified her career goal to become a Registered Dietician.
Following her internship, she focused her coursework on nutrition ranging from sports nutrition to nutrition across the lifespan, and nutrition and disease. Emily is excited to begin her career working with LWell and is looking forward to the next steps in her professional journey of becoming an RD.
