Jessica Edmonds is a seasoned registered dietitian with over 25 years of experience offering her expertise in nutrition and wellness. She was born in Newport News, Virginia and raised in Houston, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Texas at Austin in 1995. She is married to a Navy pilot and the couple and their two sons have moved from coast to coast over the last 30 years. She has worked in healthcare in Florida, California, and Virginia. Her various experiences all over the country have shaped her into the dietitian she is today!Jessica’s passion is diabetes education and she became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist in 2018. She has worked in outpatient settings in three different health systems in Chesapeake, Virginia Beach and Norfolk for the last 8 years. She was also the cancer dietitian at the Sidney Oman Cancer Center in Chesapeake for 3 years.Jessica and her husband have chosen Virginia Beach as their permanent residence. She enjoys cooking and entertaining, decorating, hiking, kayaking, and Jazzercise in her free time. She loves traveling with her husband and visiting her college-age sons at Virginia Tech and Penn State. Friends and family are very important to her! Jessica’s health and wellness philosophy is that good nutrition should not be hard. She has a common-sense approach to diet and weight management and believes meals should be easy to prepare.
