From a young age, Maggie always knew that she wanted to help people. She began her career as a Registered Nurse at Tappahannock Hospital. After several years of acute care, her strong passion for preventive care led her into Family Medicine as the RN Coordinator of a local Williamsburg practice. While there, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Western Governors University and became certified in Ambulatory Care Nursing. As the RN in the practice, she threw herself into patient education with a focus on diabetes education and took several continuing education courses and seminars to improve these skills. During this time her significant other, who is a personal trainer, helped to open her eyes to the role of fitness in health and disease prevention. After seeing the incredible positive impacts of fitness on people’s lives, she was hooked. Together she and her partner dreamt up and built PESFfit. Here she uses her knowledge and experience to create a safe and secure environment for everyone at any level to feel comfortable and successful in their fitness journey.
Throughout her nursing career, Maggie’s belief in the importance of disease prevention has only grown. Partnering up with LWELL is the perfect step in this journey. She looks forward to helping empower patients on their weight loss journey as they work together for the best quality of life and longevity.
