What do the initials mean?
Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist
“I don’t believe in expiration dates on dreams so let’s get started!”
One of my favorite quotes that sustains me personally and professionally is one on perseverance by Mary Anne Radmacher. “Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day that says, ‘I will try again tomorrow.’”
A lifelong interest in nutrition, health and fitness prompted a recent career change. As a Registered Dietitian working in clinical nutrition at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center and Lackey Free Clinic I value the opportunity to make a difference in the personal responsibility and accountability of individuals for their health and well-being.
I have a bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University and completed the postgraduate Didactic Program in Dietetics and Dietetic Internship at Virginia State University to become a Registered Dietitian. I’m a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), the Virginia Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (VAND), the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE), and the American Diabetes Association (ADA).
